Mauna Kea 2/2010

Standing on top of the tallest mountain in the world (your guide will explain) at sunset...Wow! It's other-worldly up there; so high you can see Maui, 80 miles away. Our guide - Nate - was fantastic and gave an excellent astronomy lesson once we were back down at the 9,000 foot level. Really special. Warm parkas provided along with dinner at the 7,000 foot level to acclimatize you to the altitude. Smart. You'll see things you never would otherwise in this once in a lifetime journey through the history, astronomy and geology of the Big Island. Thanks Nate.
